Hints and Tips for Newbies or Time To Get Serious Online

When you are new online or deciding to get serious and turn this hobby into a business, there are a few choices to make.  Do you go ahead and do it yourself or do you get someone to do it for you!!

If you are looking for an all in one service with someone of integrity, I highly recommend this one!

If however you are like me and want to learn the hard way so you know the process, then I recommend the following:

Webhosting

There are a number of sites with good reputations. For us – we had heard that Hostgator was good and were interested as it is competitively priced, has good support and you can add additional domains at no extra cost.

Fortunately we have found all of this is true and the live chat support is fantastic.

Autoresponder

The most important reason to have a website to make money is to build your list. The most common tip from successful entrepeneurs online is ‘The money is in the list’. The way to build your list is to capture the names and email addresses of visitors to your site. The reason people would want to opt in to your website is because you are offering them something of value which could be a free ebook or newsletter. By getting an autoresponder you can follow up with the people on your list and build a relationship with them so when you recommend a product you have already built up trust and so they are more likely to buy from someone they know.See here – to find out more

Business cards and stationary

As with offline business it is vital to look professional. Friends and family and new acquaintances will ask what you have been doing. Even if your business is obscure to the masses such as affiliate marketing, or does not have popular appeal such as breeding finches (no offense intended!), it is a very good idea to have a business card as a minimum marketing tool. For those of us who Have spent much of our lives in business, a business card has always been a necessity, however not everyone will take one – from experience quite often with teachers or public servants who are not as used to dealing with the public. ebooks on Affiliate Marketing

Then there are many ebooks or other products which explain how to make money as an affiliate. Much of the information is the same between various products however as with any learning – different resources appeal to different people.

I attended some training with Sean and he was very inspirational. This book is easy to read and has lots of great information from the basics of setting up a clickbank account to using social media to generate traffic.

Additionally there are online courses

Quite often all the information is available online for free however even almost one year into the new career we feel there is great value in using existing resources or courses that are pre-packaged.

If you have an option which also includes coaching then seriously consider that – however not all courses are equal especially when they include coaching – do the background research first.
